What You Will Do as a Laboratory Manager:

• Schedule production runs for maximized throughput and quality
• Hire, train, motivate, coach and develop staff for growth and lab skills
• Maintain equipment, records, inventory and SOPs
• Troubleshoot vaccine production complications and execute resolutions

Requirements of a Laboratory Manager:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in related field (Biology, Chemistry, Animal Science, etc) OR 3-5 years experience in biologics industry AND 2+ years in a leadership role
• Virus production, bacterial fermentation and/or formulation/filling experience preferred
• Must be knowledgeable in aseptic technique and processing, and autoclave operation
• Requires high attention to detail and strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs to shoulder, maneuver up to 110lbs with mechanical aid
• Familiar with and ability to adhere to USDA regulations
