What you’ll do as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist:

  • Complete various documentation relating to Environmental Health and Safety programs
  • Assist in compliance audits and environmental compliance
  • Inspect safety equipment and provide guidance to teams to minimize risk
  • Review chemicals, processes and equipment prior to use in departments
  • Assist in EHS training and complete additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements of the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Science (Chemistry background strongly preferred), Engineering or similar degree emphasis
  • Prior Environmental Health and Safety experience highly preferred
  • Prior experience with OSHA laws and requirements, and OSHA reporting a plus!
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact and work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced laboratory skills
  • High level of proficiency with PC based software programs

Soil Analysis, Plant Analysis, Chromatography, Microbiology, Wet Chemistry, Feed Analysis, Food Analysis, Pet Food Analysis
